Drew Barrymore has come a long way since ET. Her directorial debut Whip It! starring the amazing Ellen Page, opens in theaters today. She plays Bliss Cavendar, a teen whose mother is obsessed her being in pageants. She then finds happiness in roller derby and begins to find herself.

Ellens says of working under Barrymore, “Working with Drew was amazing. That's all I know. She was just tireless, in a way that was inspiring. Here was someone who was in pre-production for their first feature film while also training to be a roller derby star. And, she was just always there, always available, and always emotionally present with the material. She just really guided me through everything.”

The film also stars rapper Eve in her breakout role, SNL’s Kristen Wiig, Jimmy Fallon, and Juliette Lewis. If you haven’t caught the trailer yet, watch it below!

Ellen Page is quickly making her presence known in Hollywood as a leading lady. Already an Oscar-nominated actress, Ellen is now set to play the role of Jane in the classic Jane Eyre. BBC Films has signed on to develop an adaptation of the Charlotte Bronte novel and has attached Page to play Jane. Moira Buffini wrote the screenplay; a director has not yet been chosen.

Ellen's not the first to play Jane; the book has been adapted to the screen several times. But we're confident this up-and-comer will have heads turning in this iconic role. The film starts shooting this Fall.
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
Ellen Page has definitely not let fame go to her head. She couldn't be more humble. She was on Jay Leno last night talking about her start, and how she landed in Hollywood all the way from Nova Scotia.

Can't wait to see more of her!

Wow. Wow. Wow. Ellen Page is definitely the girl to watch right now. If you loved her in Juno, take a look at this trailer for her upcoming movie, The Tracey Fragments.

The movie premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival last month. Ellen plays a fifteen-year-old girl who sets out to find her brother who has gone missing. It looks really dark, but amazing.

There may be a new young couple on the scene. Ellen Page has fueled speculation that she's dating Frankie Muniz after the two went out for a post-oscar breakfast.

The two were spotted grabbing a bite in West Hollywood Monday morning.  Can't see these two together. Ellen seems like such a smart, cute girl, while Frankie reminds me of reruns of Malcolm In The Middle.

Oscar winner for Best Original Screenplay for Juno Diablo Cody wants to remember her accomplishment forever. And she plans to do it in the form of a tattoo.

Cody says she wants to have Ellen Page's face permanently inked on her body. That's one way of having a daily reminder that she wrote one of the biggest movies of the year!

Mega starlet Drew Barrymore sat on the other side of the table for the upcoming issue of Interview Magazine.  In the March issue, Drew Barrymore interviews Oscar nominee Ellen Page, the star of Juno.  Page and Barrymore are currently working together on another project, which is Drew's directorial debut.

Here's a snippet from the interview with the girls:

DB: "What's your idea of a perfect day?"
EP:  "Lord. I don't know. Maybe wake up, have some delicious coffee, eat some delicious fruit, then go for a bike ride to a lake and bring a good book. And read and swim and read and swim — just something super simple, I guess. Mellow."
DB:     "And what about the next five years? What are your aspirations?"
EP: "I hesitate about having aspirations that are too intense, because I just don't know what's going to happen. As corny as it sounds, I guess the answer would be remaining as honest as possible and having the control to play roles that are fulfilling and challenging to me and that I feel passionate about. And I hope, in the next five years, that's going to be something I'll be able to do consistently."
DB: "What's most surreal about your life?"
EP: "Well, I did Oprah yesterday, and then I went to the NBR [National Board of Review] Awards last night and met Kate Winslet, whom I adore. I was all star-struck and trying to be supercool, but she came over to me!

I like Ellen Page. She's a relative newcomer to the block, but definitely has a point of view, and is not afraid to speak her mind. She says the way the media treats Britney Spears is sickening, and that she sympathizes with Brit because she could have found herself in a similar situation if she had started acting at a younger age.

Page was asked to relocate to LA to star in a sitcom at just 13, but turned down the role to finish school in her native Canada. She's convinced that had she accepted the part, she could have been a victim of the paparazzi.

"I feel bad, you know - they were hyper-sexualized at the age of 16, not guided or taken care of or nurtured properly. And now people treat it like it's a joke. Let's splatter their face on newspapers every day and show them being taken out of their house on a stretcher! It's like, why don't we ask why this is happening? It makes me very angry."

Well said! Let's just hope Ellen doesn't end up in rehab or the psych ward like some of her peers.

Cutie Ellen Page is nominated for an Oscar and she couln't be more overwhelmed. The 20-year old received an Oscar nomination in the Best Actress category for her role in Juno.

She tells MTV.com, "We were coming from Paris on the train and just getting to London when I heard. It was exciting.

"Winning awards was something I was trying to keep out of my mind (but) it's a surprise and very humbling. It just blew me away."

Page will go against Cate Blanchett, Julie Chritie, Marion Cotillard and Laura Linney in the Best Actress category at the Oscars ceremony on February 24.

Drew Barrymore is an amazing actress and now she has decided to get her feet wet in directing as well. Barrymore will make her directorial debut for the movie Whip It! "I've been working toward the goal of directing my entire life," Barrymore told Variety. "Whip It! is a story that really spoke to me."

Whip It will star one of the most talked about actresses in Hollywood, Juno star Ellen Page.

"I really admire how Drew constantly challenges herself as an artist," Page said. "She's proven herself as an actress and a producer, and I have no doubt she'll bring great vision and creativity to the director's chair. I can't wait to kick ass on wheels!"

The film will start filming in the summer in Texas.
