Ellen Says: Stop the Madness!

Who knew a little puppy could cause so much chaos in the world? Earlier this week Ellen DeGeneres got teary-eyed on air when she talked about the agency that took her dog Iggy away after finding out she had given the dog to her hairstylist.

The owner of the agency learned the hard way not to mess with Ellen’s fans when she started to receive some serious threats. After Ellen realized how seriously out of hand the situation got she’s decided to let the issue go.

In an episode that’s scheduled to air today Ellen says, "I think this is the last time I'm talking about this." She thanks her fans for the support and asks that they don’t resort to violence to get their point across.

She said the only time she’ll bring up Iggy again is if she is "lucky enough to say one day to you, Iggy has returned ... we'll have Iggy on the show to show you if that happens."

I understand that the family who got their dog taken away was upset, and the agency really shouldn’t have gotten involved as long as the dog was in a good home but seriously all this media attention around a dog is ridiculous. I know we’re contributing to it by writing about it, but it’s all over the place so we sort of don’t have a choice. Either way, glad its over!
