Teaming up with ‘American Idol’ judge, Randy Jackson, Ellen will host the $1,000 per ticket event on March 10 to raise funds for Brad’s home rebuilding charity, Make It Right.
Dubbed ‘A Night to Make It Right’, the gala will be attended by Brad (no kidding) and will include performances from Sheryl Crow, Rihanna and Seal.
Brad launched the organization in 2007 to help the victims who lost their homes during Hurricane Katrina. Specifically, the organization focuses on Lower 9th Ward, which was one of the hardest-hit neighborhoods. Brad worked with architects to design better, stronger and more energy-efficient houses.
75 homes have been built thus far, six are under construction, and either more houses are scheduled to begin construction in the coming months.
While they’re at it, maybe they can do something about Bourbon Street, too. Because it looked like it got hit with a hurricane before it actually did.
Taylor Royle, a spokeswoman for the event said: “Our goal is 150 houses, and this fundraiser is going to help us reach that goal.”
"It's been a long road to get these families home. But we're happy with our progress, and we're looking forward to celebrating the progress we've made."
Ellen is a New Orleans native and has donated over $2 million to Make It Right.
“She’s been one of our biggest supporters,” Taylor said of the TV show host.
The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Orleans.
