Ellen Degeneres' persistency has finally paid off--she scored the cover of Oprah's "O" magazine.

Ellen has practically been begging Oprah to feature her on the cover of her magazine for years, and it looks like she finally charmed Oprah into it.

According to Popeater.com, this is the second time in the magazines history that Oprah has shared a cover with someone. The first time was with the First Lady Michelle Obama.

California High Court Upholds a Ban on Gay Marriages

The California Supreme Court today upheld Proposition 8's ban on same-sex marriage, but also ruled that the 18,000 gay couples that wed before the November election will continue to be married under state law.

Crowds gathered outside the California Supreme Court in San Francisco today to hear the decision, which was sure to be controversial no matter which way it swayed. Proposition 8 passed with 52% of the vote during the November 2008 elections.
