Elisabeth Hasselbeck Sued for Plagiarism

Elisabeth Hasselbeck has a lot of opinions when it comes to The View, but when it came to her book The G Free Diet-A Gluten Free Survival Guide, she just figured she'd borrow someone else's opinions and thoughts.

Author Susan Hassett is suing Elisabeth for copyright infringement and plagiarism. Susan claims Elisabeth basically published a book nearly identical to hers and now she wants Elisabeth to pay up.

According to TMZ, Susan published a book called Living with Celiac Disease back in April of '08. And thirteen months later, Susan says Hasselbeck published the same book with a new title: The G Free Diet-A Gluten Free Survival Guide.

Susan compares chapters and lines. Here are some highlights.

Susan's Book Chapter 1: What is Celiac Disease?
Hasselbeck Chapter 2: What is Celiac Disease?

Susan's tips: "Shop in the outer isles of the supermarket"
Hasselbeck's tips: "Food in the outer isles of the supermarket"

Apparently there are a ton of identical tips and chapters, all of which are outlined in the lawsuit that Susan filed on June 9th. Elisabeth is the outspoken over opinionated co-host on The View, so we're actually surprised by this lawsuit.

Chance are Elisabeth didn't even write it. She probably has "people" who assembled the book and she had no clue it was plagiarized.

Gluton is for GLUTTONS! Elisabeth is a honey...and this Susan is a goldigger! How dast she accuse Elisabeth! A pox upon her...and maybe a yeast infection too (gluton-free, of course)!

We can only ride high for so long and when you're opinionated people are happy to see you fall. Ha, Ha!
