Elisabeth Hasselbeck has a lot of opinions when it comes to
The View, but when it came to her book
The G Free Diet-A Gluten Free Survival Guide, she just figured she'd borrow someone else's opinions and thoughts.
Author Susan Hassett is suing Elisabeth for copyright infringement and plagiarism. Susan claims Elisabeth basically published a book nearly identical to hers and now she wants Elisabeth to pay up.
According to TMZ, Susan published a book called
Living with Celiac Disease back in April of '08. And thirteen months later, Susan says Hasselbeck published the same book with a new title:
The G Free Diet-A Gluten Free Survival Guide.
Susan compares chapters and lines. Here are some highlights.
Susan's Book Chapter 1: What is Celiac Disease?
Hasselbeck Chapter 2: What is Celiac Disease?
Susan's tips: "Shop in the outer isles of the supermarket"
Hasselbeck's tips: "Food in the outer isles of the supermarket"
Apparently there are a ton of identical tips and chapters, all of which are outlined in the
lawsuit that Susan filed on June 9th. Elisabeth is the outspoken over opinionated co-host on
The View, so we're actually surprised by this lawsuit.
