Sometimes “The View” is a show where a gaggle of women sit around a table and talk about taxes and the Kardashians, other times, it turns into an episode of The Howard Stern show.

On today’s episode of The View, things got dirrttyy when Barbara Walters got into the truly “hot” topics during the “hot topics” segment of the show.

First, Whoopi wanted to discuss the new book “50 Shades of Grey,” a steamy novel that is basically just a collection of intensely described S&M sex scenes. Then, Barbara is like,

And it has a great View. Heh? Heh? Get it? Okay, sorry.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the conservative voice of ‘The View,’ has put her swanky NYC condo on the market for $3.3 million.

Elisabeth and her ex NFL quarterback husband Tim Hasselbeck bought the Upper West Side pad for $3.309 back in 2008.

I’m no economist, but I think it’s safe to say the real estate market still sucks.

Bill Maher appeared on The View Tuesday to talk about the GOP nominations, the Occupy Wall Street movement, and how he hurt Elisabeth Hasselbeck's feelings. Mostly about hurting Elisabeth Hasselbeck's feelings.

The controversial TV host/political commentator appeared on the talk show, where he was almost immediately confronted by co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Bill Maher made a point about needing women in society, and Hasselbeck confronted him about a statement he made on his HBO Show, Real Time.

"Forgive this idiotic republican for bringing this to your brilliant mind," Hasselbeck said, recalling a joke that Maher made about exchanging Elisabeth to Egypt for CBS correspondent Laura Logan.

Pregnant woman can be strang creatures. Between dealing with the hormones and coping with major life (and body) changes, pregnant women can make some pretty weird demands.

Among those demands are usually weird pregnancy cravings. Somehow, their taste buds-- and smell buds—change, and they start yearning for weird mixtures of food. If you thought pickles and ice cream were a strange pregnancy craving, check out what these celebs wanted to eat while they were pregnant.

Jessica Simpson: Salty fruit. Simpson recently revealed she has been eating cantaloupe "like a crazy person" and can no longer eat pizza because it "tastes sour."

"I crave cantaloupe like a crazy person," Simpson said. "But I put salt all over it, so I don't know if it's that healthy. I crave anything salty and sweet. That mixture to me is so good. I can eat a whole cantaloupe in one morning."
If you can't get enough of Elisabeth Hasselbeck and her squeaky voice on The View , don't worry because you are soon gonna see her on Good Morning America as well.

Our favorite Republican has gotten herself another gig to cover family and parenting issues on Good Morning America.

In a statement, Elisabeth said, “I am thrilled to join the Good Morning America team, and I am thankful for this opportunity to raise awareness and explore the most important issues facing parents and children."

Hasselbeck will start her new gig on Monday and in her first segment she will tackle the issues of kids and tattoos.

Having all that Elisabeth before noon might be a bit too much!
Elisabeth Hasselbeck gave one heck of a sob story last week on The View, claiming that she called Erin Andrews and apologized for the dumb comments she made on the show regarding the costumes she wears on DWTS.

That must have been all for show because Erin is still waiting for a call from Hasselbeck. Andrews told UsMagazine.com: "I didn't speak with her, no. I never talked to her."

Elisabeth Hasselbeck: Insert Foot in Mouth

Erin doesn't seem to be fazed by her comments either. She is clearly over it saying, "I'm moving on...I'm tired of talking about it. It's a new week."

One thing she did mention is how happy she was that partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy stood up for her. Maksim said, "I'm the one designing [Andrews'] dresses for the show, so I'll just assume that [Hasselbeck] is jealous... and stupid...."

Erin was pleased with his comments stating, "It was really nice to have Maks stick up for me and the entire cast and a lot of the media."

Meanwhile, the hot duo got a 53 out of 60 for their Argentine tango and '80s rumba.

We’ve all been there. You say something stupid and ignorant, and immediately wish you could turn back time to the minute prior and redo what you said!

Well, that’s what happened with The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck. On yesterday’s show, she criticized ESPN correspondent Erin Andrews for wearing skimpy costumes on Dancing With the Stars. Her thought process?

As you may recall, Erin was subject to a peeping Tom a few months back who was caught following her around to her different hotel rooms. The guy is now in prison, and Elisabeth said she shouldn’t be drawing attention to herself.

That’s one way to start a war! And it definitely did. First Erin responded, saying Hasselbeck’s remarks were “a slap in the face to victims of stalking and sexual predators.”

She continued: “The thing that I was most upset about is I felt she was mocking a situation. As a mother and a woman, I’m disappointed she went there.”

It didn’t stop there. Erin’s DWTS co-stars definitely have her back. Maksim tweeted: "I'm the one designing [Andrews'] dresses for the show, so I'll just assume that [Hasselbeck] is jealous… and stupid…."

Louis Van Amstel tweeted: I guess miss Hasselback was going after Erin this morning!!!Sharing ur opinion is one thing, being rude is another.Shame on u elizabeth!

She was on my case 4 using our waltz 4 'Equality' in STORYLINE week, now she's throwing Erin under the bus.Erin is dealing w it so good, leave her alone.Aren't u all working for the same network ABC/ESPN????U should have eachother's back, not trashtalk Erin.Im done enough said….

@ehasselbeck why did u have to throw @erinandrewsespn under the bus this morning?shame on u.

Even Evan Lysacek tweeted: "So disappointed that anyone would attack [her] after all she's been through."

This morning, Elisabeth addressed the situation on The View, tearfully saying that she had called Andrews to personally apologize after her five-year-old daughter Grace recommended it.

“So, thankfully, I listened to her — she’s a wise little girl — and I did,” said Hasselbeck. “So, I’m really sorry, and I wanted to offer that publicly too, even though I did follow that advice.”

That was really smart of Elisabeth to apologize, before the whole cast of DWTS came after her! But we have to say, that probably took a lot for her to admit how wrong she was!
Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been doing the balancing act with being a mom and TV personality for years now. She’s got three adorable children; Grace, Taylor, and Isaiah, whom she just gave birth to in August.

That’s quite the brood! And Elisabeth says she’s now done with having kids. She spoke with her The View co-host Barbara Walters on her SIRIUS XM radio show today telling Barbara she won’t be getting knocked up again.

"No, I don't," she said, “If something happened and I was pregnant again ... I don’t know how that would happen, because I'm clearly avoiding my husband.”

Elisabeth says her husband is part of the problem she’s always pregnant! "He's so cute," Hasselbeck said, "This is the problem ... he's very cute."

She also says she has her own type of birth control. “So, it's not like I'm that disciplined, so right now, my strategy is dressing in a way that will not get me pregnant. Nothing too cute," she said. "I'm trying to wear nothing too revealing."

They sound like such a cute couple! Well, we’ll know what the reason is if Elisabeth is suddenly pregnant again!
World: meet Elisabeth Hasselbeck's newborn son Isaiah. Isaiah: meet world!

Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned to ABC's The View this morning and debuted a photo of her adorable three-month-old son Isaiah.

"He'll never be able to spell his own name, but that's fine," she joked. "He's almost three months or so. He's good," reports Us Weekly.

Hasselbeck told the audience that right after she took this photo she realized that her nipple was still in the shot. "No wonder he's smiling -- my nipple is in the photo," she joked.

Unfortunately, she didn't catch the nipple slip in time and had already sent the photo out to her husband Tim Hasselbeck's family. "Awkwardly, my father-in-law and my brother-in-law saw it," she said.

What a little cutie! Elisabeth already has three other children, Grace Elisabeth, 4, and Taylor Thomas, 21 months, so we can't wait to see whom little Isaiah resembles most.
While Jon Gosselin is busy trying to get fired from his TLC reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8, his estranged wife Kate Gosselin is busy getting new TV gigs.

Kate is set to join Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd as a guest host on ABC’s The View on September 14 and 15.

Kate will be filling in for Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who will still be on maternity leave when the show returns for the new season on September 8.

A ton of other stars have been lined up to help fill in for Elisabeth this season. Meghan McCain, the daughter of Sen. John McCain, will be on the show on the 9th and 10th; LaToya Jackson will appear on the 16th and 18th; and FOX News Channel anchor E.D. Hill will make a cameo on the 23rd and 24th.

What do you think about ABC's decision to have Kate on as a guest host? Will you tune in? Who else should they consider having on the show?
