Mel B Taking Eddie Murphy to Court

If you thought the Mel B/Eddie Murphy baby drama was over, think again. 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant Melanie Brown aka: Scary Spice is preparing for a showdown in court with former lover Eddie Murphy.

Mel B plans to take Murphy to court on November 14th to get him to cough up some money for the 'maintenance' of their six-month-old daughter, Angel Iris.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Eddie refuses to see Angel so this is important to her."

Mel B sounds like that bitter ex you wish you never got involved with. She was secretly married but raised hell when Murphy moved on with his life.

that is not fair. think how humiliated and hurt she must have been their poor daughter im in the same situation at the moment but worse my ex is like 7 years older and im not even 21. he has done exactly the same thing. i dont have the money that they do so we havent took it to court and nothing is being done about it only he going in to debt by not paying maitenance, people like eddie should never be allowed to have kids. he's a bloody idiot and i think mel is such a strong woman for going to such lengths to make him part of their daughter's life. shame on you if you're reading this, ed. and mel b i can't show enough respect!

Eddie has the right to do what he wants, if he does not want to see the child that is his right. Too many females only use kid to get child support nyway and the majority of yall are no good freaks that got pregnant to try to keep someone - so if you choose to lay down with a clown you better be ready to support the child on your own or KEEP YOUR LEGS CLOSED OR USE RUBBERS. One person can't make a child, two people do, and I cannot for the life of me understand why all these women on the board are attacking Melanie. We have all been in relationships with men where we have been played (or have girlfriends who have) and that is exactly what happened in this case. I can't imagine what Melanie has gone through raising that child alone. Eddie basically got with her, told her he loved her,that he wanted to have a family with her and started cheating on her with Tracy Edmonds. It's as simple as that. He also dumped her aroungd the time that he started getting big again with Dreamgirls. He's an ASSHOLE. Remember what went on with his ex-wife? Also, Melanie got married in July...months after the whole Eddie thing was big news. Ppl need to get their facts straight. I hate when women do this, we are all attacking Melanie when in fact Eddie is the dog. Also, fyi Eddie did this same thing to a girl in Alabama so, for him this is a way of life.

what a load of cobblers (to writer of the piece) she just wants him to acknowledge that he is the father.. and she is one of THE SPICE GIRLS as well - something that the numpty writer didnt put in..i believe that a whoever wrote this piece must have been born after the 1990's - that may explain the immaturity of the reason why they havent put that bit in.. and the fact they cannot look at this issue to do with the paternity of knowing your own father.. seriously!!! loo loo, you shouldn't let this keep you from being an Eddie fan because you don't know the facts yet...we women tend to turn on men quickly if another woman presents him in a negative light before we know if it is true or not. Being women, we have to learn to listen to both sides before we judge.

loo loo, the point is is that we don't know the whole facts here. You don't know if he is trying to see his child while Mel is trying to hold her as for ransom. He already blasted her lies and threatened to take her to court for slander when she was going around telling people he doesn't even send money for her or try to see her. That is when he finally spoke out about what was really going on. Mel is trying her hardest to get her hand on more money than she deserves. She's a gold digger. She is always parading Angel around as if she was a toy, but nowadays you don't see her oldest with her too often and that is because the oldest father refuses for his daugther to be around her new husband and involved in her trickery. People over in Brit doesn't like her because of how she was (they called her a whore and all) that is why she moved to America. She isn't a good person. But to say atleast, if a woman is determined to keep a man from seeing his child, trust me-she will. And sooner than later, the man will give up and try again when the kid is older hopeing to be able to explain his side of the story. It happens too often and the sad part is that Angel is the one to suffer because of the greed of her mother.

Tasha, you are right. Mel raised hell because Eddie didn't want to "see" his daughter and didn't want to "send money to take care of her" and would talk to everyone who had ears about her "sob story" until Eddie finally opened up and told the world about her demands for 9 Million paid home and other material things that she was demanding to him. Then she was silenced for a long time. And I thought it was awful funny how the first view of Angel was in a magazine spread and Mel was talking about how she still dreamed of Eddie coming back to her and they being a family and all--all the while she was really MARRIED to that Belfonte person. Funny how she tried to paint herself as a perfect woman who got the bad end of the stick and how much morals she had...BS. We don't know the whole story here because it is obvious Mel isn't going to tell the truth in the matter so she may as well be keeping Eddie from seeing their daughter until he caves into her demands. Eddie has Millions and money isn't an object to him. Funny how he doesn't have any kids out of wedlock (that we know about that is) and all the other 5 kids were from his wife who he still sees and takes care of but Angel is a different story. Bad dad...I don't think so...because I think it is more to that story than we see.

it never seemed to me like she was having a hard time getting over Eddie - ever. she's always just seemed like she's trying for what every mother wants, the proper care and appropriate responsibilty to be taken for her child. even if she was acting crazy, she's totally entitled to! i'm saying that her craziness stemmed from a lack of responsibilty from Eddie for his child, not from his desire to be with other women and "move on". alot of people who don't have kids, just don't understand the dynamics involed. but really, the whole point is that the battle Mel is fighting isn't hers, it's her daughters. because that's what good mothers do.

There are not disputing Eddie's responsibility to his kid. The girls were saying Scary was raising hell about the way Eddie kicked her to the curb, but the bitch was married to someone else!!! If she loved Eddie, she wouldn't have married another man 3 mos later. They both "moved on" with other people within minutes of breaking up. So obviously their love affair wasn't that serious, except a baby was brought into it.
