If you haven't kept up with all this Eddie Murphy and Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown drama, I'm going to give you a brief summary.
Eddie Murphy divorces Nicole Murphy--with whom he was 5 children with. Eddie and Mel met and date for a few months, he breaks up with her, she gets knocked up, and he denies that it’s his child. She gets pissed off, sells her story to the press. She makes him take a DNA test and surprise surprise--It's his! All the while, Eddie is busy getting cozy with his new love Tracey Edmonds--to whom he just proposed. Basically Eddie's love life is a big old' mess!
Just one day after Eddie's first wife Nicole and Mel B dined together at paparazzi haven The Ivy, Eddie Murphy is finally breaking his silence and telling his side of the story.
In a statement released by his rep, the actor says he "acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy."
The statement continues: "Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of ANY sort," although Brown told Essence.com that "this was a completely planned pregnancy."
