Ed Westwick and Jessica Zohr Split Up

Juicy news from the Upper East Side! This morning Page Six reported that Gossip Girl co-stars Jessica Zohr and Ed Westwick had split up. We didn’t believe it, but now the news has been confirmed.

According to the report, Jessica was flirting heavily with one of Westwick’s close friends, Marco Minuto, who happens to be an heir. Jess partied with Minuto in LA for her 25th birthday bash, while Eddie was in Europe shooting a movie.

A source said, "Jessica recently celebrated her birthday in LA and was being openly affectionate and flirty with Marco. They ended up back at the same hotel, but nobody knows what happened behind closed doors. Her flirty behavior shocked a lot of their friends, so word quickly got back to Ed, who has been filming in Europe.”

Westwick was tipped off about his girlfriend’s behavior, and called her to confront her about it. Apparently he dumped her over the phone! Panicked, Jess then hopped on a plane to Europe to talk about it, but he had already made his decision.

"He immediately ended their relationship on the phone, and Jessica, who denied anything happened with Marco, was so distraught that she flew to London last Friday with just the clothes on her back. She's been begging Ed to take her back, but he is deeply hurt. He can't believe that she carried on this way with one of his friends,” added the source.

Meanwhile, Jessica’s friends and rep are trying to do damage control. A source close to Szohr insisted, "She's been celebrating her birthday with Ed in London." Her rep denied she'd cheated, saying, "The story has no merit." Westwick's rep declined to comment.

Good for him for breaking it off. Cheating is unacceptable if you’re in a committed relationship!
