Ed Sheeran is causing all sorts of problems with Taylor Swift’s tour.
In a new interview, the British singer-songwriter opened up about a recent bizarre coincidence that nearly left us TayTay-less. (As if she could be slayed in the first place.)
During a sit-down with MTV News, Sheeran explained that Taylor was almost stabbed by a sword that he carried on while sharing a private jet to Nashville with the country music crossover.
“It's like a real sword,” Sheeran said of the weapon, a souvenir that he was gifted by Peter Jackson. “I got it shipped over, shipped over to Omaha, so I was bringing it back to Nashville and I think [Taylor] and her crew were weirded out by it anyway. They were just like, ‘Why does Ed have a sword?’”
Then things turned deadly… almost.
“The plane is kind of taking off and [the sword] started sliding down,” he said. “I was like, ‘No!’ It was just about to impale Taylor.”
Sheeran’s confession comes after a duet mishap performance of their song, “Everything Has Changed,” last week. The two singers got out of sync when the tatted redhead's earpiece stopped working.
With any luck, Taylor will make it out of this tour alive.
