Tatum O'Neil Arrested For Buying Crack

Former child star Tatum O'Neil was arrested last night in New York City for buying crack and cocaine. She must have been really desperate for drugs because she was buying it from a homeless man when the cops stopped her. Tatum has had a long history of drug problems, and even lost her children and husband, tennis star John McEnroe because of her heroin addiction.

Tatum tried the old "I'm researching a movie role" excuse, but NYPD doesn't buy that kind of crap. It also didn't help that she had two dime bags on her and a crack pipe. Looks like Tatum's off to everyone's favorite place…Cirque Lodge!

It seems there are alot of smart a_ _ remarks made. Tatum has battled and addiction problem. Which not only effects her but those around her. Reasons for addictions covers a broad territory. But for any to make such vulgar remarks as to how she can solve the problem? Actually such remarks sound as though they are coming from a true addict themselves? And RogerMD? Are you her therapist? To say the sex references are more on target? And I am not one to lend my shoulder out for the addict to cry on, but I do hope they take the first step to recovery.....and should they relapse? Well, Try try again until you get it right ( before it is too late) Addiction is a disease of the brain. Smoking is an addiction. Caffeine is an addiction.....there are many forms of addiction in this world. Unless you have walked in her moccassins, maybe you need to think twice about voicing your opinion(s). I hope she finds herself back onto the road of recovery and continues that path.

As an addiction specialist MD for 35 years I can tell you the the sex references are more on target than the cry on your shoulder sympathy for addicts reference. People like this need to feel connection to those around them, but not through sympathy. The detox people have sympathy, and that is as far as sympathy should go. She probably does need someone to love.

Obviously you guys have never had a loved one with a chemical dependency. Say all you want but it is not 100% Tatum's fault.
