Actor Ryan O'Neal and his son Redmond O'Neal have both been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.
The charges follow a September 17 incident at the actor's Malibu estate where a police search turned up illegal drugs. If convicted, Ryan could be looking at up to three years in prison.
As if that wasn't enough, The LA County District Attorney's Office charged Redmond with two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one misdemeanor count of illegal possession of pepper spray.
Ryan, 67, and Redmond, 23, are both expected in court on November 13 to be arraigned in the case. Ryan's attorney said, "He's not a drug user and he doesn't want to be thought of as a drug user." Then maybe he should quit using drugs!
