Yet, we only have ourselves to blame. We love our entertainment. A lot. If you want to see how much people love their entertainment, try turning off the TV while someone is watching the American Idol results. Beware, it can get ugly.
Here are the top ten Highest Paid Men in Entertainment of 2010-2011, according to Forbes.
1. Tyler Perry: $130 million: Apparently, someone is actually watching Meet the Browns, House of Payne, and Madea’s Big Happy Family. I don’t want to say these movies are terrible, because I think the billboards of Tyler Perry dressing in drag under the caption: “GOOD AFTERNOONT!” speak for themselves. Maybe Tyler is onto something here, though. Because it looks like he’s playing every character in the movie himself. Guy saves a ton on actors' salaries.

I’m not sure what advice Dr. Phil has to offer George and Cindy Anthony, but everyone’s favorite armchair psychiatrist has interviewed the couple and will air the conversation on Tuesday.
The Anthonys have remained tight-lipped about their daughter, Casey Anthony, who was found not guilty in the murder of her daughter, Caylee. But for whatever reason, they’ve decided to open up their thoughts and feelings to Dr. Phil McGraw.
And no questions are off limits. This isn’t going to be like interviewing George Clooney without mentioning Stacy Keibler

The lawsuit which was filed by Crystal Matchett in L.A. County Superior Court is very similar to the lawsuit filed by the woman last week with the exception of the boob grabbing.
According to TMZ, Crystal Matchett alleges that Dr. Phil brainwashed her and then exposed her to the naked man and then wouldn't let her leave the production office.
Some weirdness is definitely going down at the offices of Dr. Phil so we recommend people to just stay away.

In response, Dr. Phil's rep has released the following statement:
"All of Shirley Rae Dieu's claims are without merit. As with all of the occupants of the DR. PHIL House, Ms. Dieu participated voluntarily, having submitted her personal story with the hope that she could confront, and overcome, her individual issues.
Dr. Phil is never alone in the House with any of these guests and all of his interactions are captured on video and/or audio tape. All guests are, of course, free to come and go as they please and once Ms. Dieu expressed her discomfort, and producers ascertained there was nothing they could do to help her, they called a car service to return her to her home.
Ms. Dieu filed a claim with the Los Angeles Police Department some 9 months after the incident, which was investigated and ultimately not pursued by the Los Angeles City Attorney. All guests of the show are treated with dignity and respect and the show stands by the manner in which she was handled while participating on the show."

Dr. Phil is being sued by a woman who claims he held her captive at his production offices, forced her to stare at a naked man and then grabbed her left breast.
According to TMZ, a woman named Shirley Dieu filed a lawsuit against him in L.A. County Superior Court. She reportedly went to him back in 2007 to seek therapy but got felt up instead.
In the documents, Shirley claims Phil forced her to "be in the same room with a completely naked live man while he exposed his entire naked body, genitals and all."
She even claims that Dr. Phil had a member of his staff block the doorway so she couldn't leave. She also claims Dr. Phil "touched her left breast during her therapy session."
No word on how much she's suing him for but we're pretty sure it's an obscene amount. The story does sound a little fishy. Do you believe her claims? Or do you think she's just doing it for a quick buck.
We're sure it'll get settled out of court. But than again, scandals are great for ratings--just ask Letterman.

Believe it or not, Dr. Phil gets some credit in helping her realize the severity of her situation if she refused outside help for her octuplets.
In a taping of Dr. Phil that will air tomorrow, Nadya tells him she will accept the round-the-clock help offered by charity Angels In Waiting.
According to their CEO Linda Conforti West, the agency will provide the services of neonatal nurses who specialize in caring for premature babies.
Angels In Waiting will begin their care as soon as the octuplets are released from the hospital, and will be re-evaluated every six months.
Dr. Phil made a statement saying, "Nadya realized that she had to make every effort to care for the octuplets as well as the 6 children at home in a way that proved that she understood the enormity and complexity of the task ahead.
"The plan in place, which could not have happened without attorney Gloria Allred and Angels in Waiting, affords all of the Suleman children a chance to grow and thrive. The childcare will be completely transparent, so that Kaiser Permanente and Child Protective Services will see that Nadya is seriously committed to her family."
And this doesn’t come cheap! Angels In Waiting says their care will cost about $135,000 a month. So how Nadya thought she’d be able to care for 14 kids on food stamps and disability payments, we have no idea!
Nadya should really be thanking her lucky stars that all of these people are stepping forward to help despite how crazy she seems. It’s obvious that Dr. Phil and Angels In Waiting, are extremely concerned with what might have happened to the children had they not stepped in.
Speaking of Nadya’s father, he just closed on a 4-bedroom house in La Habra, California. Angels In Waiting has also agreed to prep the house for Nadya according to the children’s needs.
Do you think she deserves all of this attention and help she’s getting? Or would it better for Child Protective Services to step in?

The dirt is coming out on Dr. Phil, and it doesn't look pretty. Star has a big article on his and his health club scandal dating back to the 70's. Here's some of the excerpts:
In September 1973, barely two years after opening the Grecian Health Spa in Topeka, McGraw suddenly shut it down and fled to Wichita Falls, Texas, where his father, psychologist Joseph McGraw, had a private practice.
Why the sudden flight? Possible because McGraw had become the object of an intense fraud investigation by the Attorney General's office in Topeka!
"He was signing up hundreds of customers to long, expensive contracts, then turning around and selling the contracts to a financial institution for a percentage of the total value up front in cash.
"He then simply shut down the spa at some point after collecting that money and left town. It was a total rip-off because the customers would still be liable for the contract payments, only now to the financial institution…"
Court papers also reveal that between September 1973 and June 1974, McGraw was sued by three different Topeka banks for $41,000 they claimed he owed.
Dr. Phil is also being accused of sexually harassing a female patient and an employee at a biotech lab. Gasp! Not the biotech lab! What's next? The set of Dr. Phil? We'll keep you updated.

Dr. Phil has been in hot water since he visited Britney Spears in the hospital and made a public statement about her. Looking back, Dr. Phil says he regrets talking to the press about her condition.
He says, "Was it helpful to the situation? Regrettably, no. It was not, and I have to acknowledge that and I do. I definitely think if I had it to do it over again, I probably wouldn't make any statement at all. Period."
At first Dr. Phil said that Britney's mother Lynne is the one who asked him to visit Britney, but then it was reported that he was trying to get Britney and her parents to appear on his TV show, but didn't go over so well. Dr. Phil got so much bad press from his visit that a lot of big named celebrities are now refusing to show up to his big 1,000th Episode Special.

Although the saying goes, 'There's no such thing as bad publicity' in Dr. Phil's case---there certainly is! I bet Dr. Phil is regretting the day he stepped foot at Cedars to 'treat Britney' because he's been in hot water ever since.
Producers for The Dr. Phil Show are having trouble booking “big name celebrities” to appear on Phil’s upcoming 1,000th Episode Special, because no one trusts the doc.
After Dr. Phil talked publicly about Britney and her condition, celebrities don't want anything to do with him--he's basically been blacklisted from Hollywood.
The NY Daily News reports, “Nobody good wants to go near it,” says a source familiar with the booking process.
Dr. Phil's booker has been trying to lure big names for a “walk-on” with the promise that “then the celebrity can promote any project or charity that they’re involved in.”
No one big has agreed to make a cameo yet. Maybe he can have a D-list special, you know that show will fill up quicker then he can say, 'my career is over,' which leads us to our daily poll…

The Britney Spears saga is turning into a bad soap opera and at this point it’s no longer entertaining. As we reported yesterday, Britney Spears was released from Cedars Hospital and here’s the real scoop on what really went down with Dr. Phil and his visit.
According to TMZ, Dr. Phil walked into Britney’s room at 7:30 am on the 7th floor at Cedars uninvited and completely blindsided the pop star. According to People magazine, Britney’s father Jamie was the one who pushed Dr. Phil to intervene since he believes Dr. Phil is a “God”.
When Dr. Phil walked into the pop wrecks room, Britney walked out and eventually came back. Sources reveal to TMZ that Phil tried speaking with Spears for about 15 minutes -- not an hour as Dr. Phil's press release states. Britney wasn't too receptive from his visit and wanted none of it.
In regards to Dr. Phil walking the pop princess to her car as his release states, TMZ confirmed there is no truth to that. Sources say,” if he was walking behind her, that's news to her. She absolutely was not accompanied by him.”
The sad part about this story is Dr. Phil has convinced Brit's mom and dad to be on his show, which will tape Monday and air Tuesday. According to sources, don’t count on Britney to be on his show. "Based on the interaction between Dr. Phil and Britney this morning, it'll be a cold day in hell before Britney goes on his show."
Here is our take on this mess. It’s a pathetic move by Dr. Phil to barge into Britney’s hospital room in order to help her. A true psychologist would try to help a person when they are down, not publicize their troubles and put them on air. The only thing Dr. Phil will be helping is his ratings.
Maybe this is the reason why Britney is in the mess she is today. If people around her would focus less on the public attention and more on the “situation” itself, then Britney could be saved. Since when do people walk into hospital rooms without any permission? I guess being a celebrity opens a lot of doors for you, even critical ones.
