Donald Trump Takes A Hit On His SoCal Mansion

This is how bad the real estate market has gotten. Even Donald Trump is losing money in it.

The real estate tycoon just sold his 11,000 square foot mansion for $7.15 million after asking for $12 million when he put it on the market last year. That’s almost a 50% discount. The housing market has turned into a Nordstrom Rack.

According to TMZ, Trump’s Palos Verdes home was bought by the owner of a major shipping company who “appreciated the property as much as Trump does.”

And, as you can imagine, this estate is amazing. Five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a game room, bar, infinity pool. The kitchen alone is 1,000 square feet. You can put a bedroom in the kitchen. In this photos, there’s actually a couch in the kitchen. So the kitchen is basically a loft.

A real estate agent close to the deal said that Trump decided to sell the house because he wasn’t spending a lot of time there. Oh, and he already has a home in Beverly Hills, so it’s not like he doesn’t have a place to stay while he’s in the Los Angeles area. I mean, I knew The Donald lives in excess, but why do you need so many houses within such close proximity? Wherever Donald Trump goes, he’s home. Literally.

One of the master bedrooms has a fireplace and floor-to-ceiling window with a view of the ocean and mountains. The walk-in shower is humongous. You could fit like ten people in there. I don’t really know why you would, but you could.

The home is actually located at Trump National Golf Course, where he has built six homes total. But there are enough lots for 75 homes.

The house’s bar is a replica of the one at the course restaurant. The wine room is sealed behind glass, and the master bedroom has its own patio and fire pit.

So yeah, he kind of took a hit on this property, but who cares? It’s not like he’s hurting. And in fact, The Donald has been in such good spirits lately, he’s even wished Rosie O’Donnell well with her new talk show.

“I felt badly that her ratings were so bad. Actually, I would like to see her successful.”

But when asked whether he’d be willing to be a guest on Rosie’s show, Trump said, “I don’t think so.”

Hey, at least he’s not calling her a disgusting truck driver.
