Eddie Cibrian Injured On Set, Rushed to Hospital

If it wasn't bad enough that he lost his job, Eddie Cibrian was also rushed to the hospital on Tuesday.

While shooting The Playboy Club, Eddie Cibrian apparently got his foot got caught under a 200 pound steel door. He suffered a deep gash on his right heel, and was then taken to Northwestern Medical Hospital.

I've done a lot of klutzy things in my life. Getting my foot caught under a door is not one of them. I don’t even know how that happens.

NBC made the announcement on Tuesday that it was canceling the show. Poor ratings and bad reviews were to blame, but the network is continuing to shoot, hoping to sell the series to another network. So I guess Eddie doesn’t have to file for unemployment right away.
D.L. Hughley Lands Show On CNN

D.L. Hughley has just gotten himself a show on CNN! Variety reports that he’ll be hosting a weekend comedy show called “D.L. Hughley Breaks The News” that will air live at 10PM on Saturdays. Comedy and CNN? Sound like a contradiction! The show will debut on October 25th, and Hughley is calling it a news-oriented talk show which will shoot in New York with a live audience. The network says they’re trying to capture a younger demographic.

CNN U.S. President Jon Klein says, “D.L. is a very thoughtful, well-informed guy with unpredictable views, and I’ve always admired his comedy. The basic premise of the show is, what if a guy like him was let loose in the CNN building for a weekend after the lights went off?”

Hughley says of his new venture, "I am very excited for the opportunity to work with the network that I have watched for a very long time, and that to a large extent, has shaped my comedic view. CNN offers the perfect blend of news and information on a local, national and international level. What more can a comedian ask for?"

We wonder if Larry approves!
