Kim Kardashian: My Razzie Nom is an Honor

We can’t all win Oscars. And Kim Kardashian is completely fine with the fact that she’s nominated in the exact opposite of the Oscar race, which is, of course, The Razzies.

Instead of sulking and defending her career and acting abilities, Kim has taken her Worst Supporting Actress nomination in stride. At least the title Disaster Movie lived up to its name.

Kim writes in her blog, I'm having a really good laugh over the fact that I've been nominated for a Razzie this year.

I had so much fun filming Disaster Movie and giggled the entire time during the shoot.

There is steep competition in my “worst supporting actress” category, I have to admit... including my fantastic costar Carmen Electra (you go girl!), Leelee Sobieski (what a surprise!), Jenny McCarthy (really?) and Paris Hilton (who could technically sweep this year's awards with a whopping three nominations!).

It's an honor just being nominated! LOL!

We were a little surprised by Leelee Sobieski’s nomination too! What happened to that girl?? Well, because of Kim’s attitude about the whole thing, we’re rooting for her!

Tropic Thunder reigned at the box office this past weekend, bringing in an additional $11.5 million dollars. Not too shabby, considering half the country was on vacation!

Babylon A.D. and The Dark Knight held onto the second and third position with $9.7 and $8.7 million, respectively.

TGIF! If you're not planning on leaving town during this long weekend, here are some new flicks you can catch in the theaters:

Traitor:
Don Cheadle is a former U.S. Special Ops officer who becomes the lead suspect in a dangerous international conspiracy.

Babylon A.D.:
Vin Diesel is a mercenary hired to transport a mysterious young woman who holds a secret that could doom the human race.

College:
Three high school seniors attend orientation weekend at Fairmont University, where a rowdy fraternity recruits them as "pledges."

Disaster Movie:
An unsuspecting group of twenty-somethings find themselves bombarded by a series of crazy disasters and catastrophic events.

Disaster Movie is exactly what this is going to be. But we're still going to go see it. It parodies several movies from the past couple of years, like Hancock, Juno, Sex And The City: The Movie, and a few others.

It's from the same team behind Date Movie and Meet The Spartans, and follows the comic misadventures of a group of ridiculously attractive twenty-somethings during one fateful night as they try to make their way to safety while every known natural disaster and catastrophic event - asteroids, twisters, earthquakes, the works -- hits the city and their path as they try to solve a series of mysteries to end the rampant destruction.

Disaster Movie stars Matt Lanter, Vanessa Minnillo, Carmen Electra, and Kim Kardashian. We just can't wait to see the scenes with Kim and Carmen!
