Dirt

Courteney Cox's show Dirt has gotten canceled.  And it only ran for two seasons! And on top of that, season two was cut short because of the WGA strike. But Courteney isn't letting the news get her down.

She and husband David Arquette have a production company that has a lot of things in the works right now.  The two say they'll be producing a lot more stuff together in the future.

We reported last month that Courtney Cox plans on using Britney Spears as a subject matter for an episode of her show Dirt. But she's not the only starlet getting exposed this season.

Cox has combined gal pals Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie to create a high-living, party-girl character Milan Carlton. I love the name! In the second season premiere of Dirt on March 8th, the socialite character is arrested for driving the wrong way on a freeway, a crime that "Wrong Way Richie" was punished for.

Carlton also leads the paparazzi on a hair-raising chase through Hollywood, something Britney's famous for. Cox, who is also the series executive producer, says, "You're gonna be able to identify these characters pretty easily. We're just poking fun and hopefully no one will get their feelings hurt."

Despite some reckless behavior, these girls have been pretty good about letting smack talk roll off their shoulders. Britney's the only one that really gets caught up in it anymore.
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!

FX has opted not to produce more episodes of "The Riches" and "Dirt" for this season. The strike has left the network with no other option but to do so.

But don't worry, fans, because they say this has no impact on the chance of a third season for both shows. The premieres of "Dirt" will be March 2nd, and "The Riches" kickoff date will be announced next week. Enjoy the season while it lasts!

We have some great news! TV show Dirt will be coming back to television! If you are a fan of the show you know that executive producer Courtney Cox likes to use real life like examples as plot lines for the stories.

Cox has planned to use Britney plot line in the upcoming season, which airs on FX.

She “plans to use Spears’ antics - including her divorce and custody battle with ex Kevin Federline and her bizarre head-shaving incident earlier this year - as inspiration for the show’s second series.”

That should be one heck of an episode. I wonder if they are gonna write in her latest breakdown in the show too?
