Julianne’s brother and “Dancing with the Stars” pro Derek Hough thinks so.
“Yeah of course, listen, if people are in love and they are happy then the next step is marriage, so why not. I will be the ring bearer,” Derek tells Hollyscoop at the Rock of Ages premiere.
Julianne and Ryan first met when she did an interview for “On Air With Ryan Seacrest” nearly two years ago when she accompanied her then-boyfriend Country Music star Chuck Wicks.
Despite Julianne being a taken woman, that didn’t stop Ryan from hitting on her.
“The interview’s on YouTube,” Julianne reveals in the July issue of Glamour magazine, “I blush when I hear it because Ryan is hitting on me the entire time! At the end, Ryan said something like, ‘You guys really have something special!’ and I thought to myself, ‘He’s so full of sh-t right now!’
The dancer-turned-actress eventually ended things with Chuck paving a path for Ryan to make his move.
“I wanted to be single,” Julianne confessed, “That lasted five months. Then Ryan and I went on a date.”
This isn’t the first time the couple faced marriage rumors. Just last month, Ryan jokingly faked out Julianne with a faux wedding proposal during an episode of “American Idol.”
He set up the proposal, “There’s something I wanted to ask you for a long time,” he told his girlfriend. The audience oohh-and-ahh’d and Ryan pulled out something from his jacket and said, “Will you…give this note I wrote to Tom Cruise.”
Well, if Derek has any say in the matter, it looks like these two might be getting hitched for real.
