It doesn’t take much to start a rumor in Hollywood. One casual dinner, and next thing you know, you’ll be walking down the aisle.

Some rumors turn out to be true, and others have us scratching our heads, wondering how they got started in the first place. And when it comes to celebrity dating rumors, there have been quite a few doozies. Here are five of the weirdest celebrity dating rumors we’ve heard.

Pauly D & Chloe Sevigny: Opposites attract, but these two are really opposite. Chloe is an art house actress with movies like Boys Don’t Cry and American Psycho under her belt. Pauly D? He has sex in the Smoosh Room. But rumors started last year when Pauly and Chloe were photographed sitting next to each other at a Knicks game. Sevigny shot down the rumor but said a coupling “would be hilarious. That would be the weirdest couple in the world. It would be like the apocalypse.”
Charlize Theron announced her new mom news today, and she joins the ranks of a handful of other celebrities who have adopted.

Some call it charitable, some call it a trend, but one thing’s for sure: adoption gives tons of kids a new life, home and family. Angelina Jolie might be the queen of Hollywood adoptions, but she’s just one of many who have made the decision. Here are a few Hollywood leading ladies who have opted to adopt.

Charlize Theron: Charlize’s rep announced: “She is the proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson.” No other details have been released about the adoption yet, but we can’t wait to see photos of Jackson Theron.

Angelina Jolie: Angelina has six kids: three are hers, and three are adopted. Maddox was adopted from Cambodia, Pax from Vietnam, and Zahara from Ethiopia.

Did you know they were back together? Well, they were and now they aren’t. Denise Richards and Richie dated for a year after Denise Richards split with Charlie Sheen. They broke up in 2007, rekindled their relationship in November and now have already called it quits.

How does Denise Richards stay lawfully married to Charlie ”Crazy” Sheen for five whole years, but can’t make it work with Richie “Normal” Sambora for a couple months? Someone needs to talk to that woman about priorities.
Kids, say hello to Uncle Father!

Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen recently went vacationing together, and they seem to be a relatively normal family. Except for the following: an ugly divorce, him calling her Denise POORards, a massive meltdown stemming from an intense drug problem, that little hotel incident that involved at least two prostitutes.

Other than that, they’re like the Waltons!
'Yea yea Merry Christmas. Now where’s my eight ball?’

Charlie Sheen is trying his darndest to have a better Christmas than last year. And if that means leaving the country and not being around any sharp objects, then so be it.

Sheen has been spending the holidays in a tropical paradise along with his ex-wife, Denise Richards, and their daughters Sam and Lola, as well as Denise’s adopted daughter, Eloise.

Denise Richards looked Girl Code in the face, spat in it, and started banging Richie Sambora. He's in a band, people.

After her BFF, Heather Locklear, divorced her Bon Jovi rocker husband, Richie Sambora, Denise Richards decided to take him for a spin. Well, she ended up driving him off the lot, taking him home and parking him in her garage. Richards first dated Sambora from 2006 to 2007 after she split from Charlie Sheen. And of course, she was accused of stealing her best friend's man. But Denise stands by the claim that she "[dated] a former friend's husband, [but did not] break up a marriage."

I guess Angelina left some for the rest of us. Six months ago, SVU star Mariska Hargitay adopted a baby girl, Amaya Josephine. The adoption made the actress want more babies, giving her full-blown baby fever. Because right after that, she filled out papers to adopt for a second time.

Well, fast forward six months later and Mariska has a son, Andrew Nicolas Harigitay Hermann. He was born over the summer.

Hargitay and her husband, Peter Hermann, were needless to say, thrilled:

"We never in a million years thought it would happen this quickly, but something inside of us knew that this was right, and we said, ‘Yes, yes, yes!’” says Hargitay.

Hargitay is also mom to five-year-old son, August. She says the new addition feels perfect.
Kristin Davis just announced that she adopted a daughter a few months ago.

The 46 year old "Sex and The City" star has never been married and this is her first daughter. Her new daughter Gemma Rose Davis was adopted in the US and Kristin tells People, "This is something I have wanted for a very long time. Having this wish come true is even more gratifying than I ever have imagined. I feel so blessed."

Kristin once publicly announced, "I don't know if I'll ever get married," so if the woman wants a baby she proves she doesn't need a man to do it! She went out and got herself a baby.

Davis is not the first single woman to adopt a baby.

Sandra Bullock: When Sandra Bullock was married to Jesse James, the two had plans to adopt a baby boy. Unfortunately Jesse James sucked, cheated on her, and Sandra separated from Jesse just at the same time that her adoption was finalized.
Stacey Dash’s divorce to Emmanuel Xuereb is official, which means she’s back on the market, guys.

The couple married in 2007, but in January of last year, Stacey filed for divorce and also got a restraining order against the guy, who she claimed abused her during their marriage, hitting her in the “face, head and body.” If true, this guy’s a moron. A clueless moron.

And oh, according to Wikipedia, Stacey Dash is apparently 45 years old. Which I think is total crap and am currently petitioning to edit her Wiki page because I’m sorry, that is physically impossible. She is not aging. At all. Science needs to look into that.

So what other middle-aged women defy the laws of nature? Well, there’s J.Lo...
Based on the first episode of the season, I'm guessing her role would have been Denise Richards, and her dialogue would have been: "Hi, I am Denise Richards, I am appearing on this show."

According to Life & Style, Charlie Sheen's ex-wife was offered $100,000 to appear in an episode of Two and a Half Men. I know that seems like a lot, but considering how much they're paying everyone else, including Sheen, that's nothing. They probably pay more than that just to get power to Ashton Kutcher's trailer.

Producers wanted Richards to play one of Charlie's Harper's former lovers during his funeral.
