Denis Leary Apologizes For Autism Comments

October 29, 2008

Well, well, well. Look who finally apologized! Denis Leary has finally apologized for the lame comments he made in his book about children with autism.

In the book, Leary claims some parents use the brain development disorder as an excuse to explain their children’s "laziness", and blames the surge in autism on "inattentive mothers and competitive dads".

But he’s taken a step back since landing in hot water over the remarks. One mother of a 6-year-old with Saugus actually even dared him to spend one hour of his day with her son. Instead of taking that challenge, Denis told the Boston Herald, "I apologize for any pain the out-of-context quotes from my book may have caused."

Lame comments, lame apology!
