Demi Moore for Harper's Bazaar

Her career may be at a standstill, but Demi Moore's looks are still flawless. Demi graces the April cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine. In the issue, she talks about her relationship with ex hubby Bruce Willis, her new hubby Ashton, and their extended family. Here are some highlights from the interview...

Demi on the age difference between her and 30-year-old Ashton:
“People made such a fuss about it you would have thought the world had never seen it before. Age wasn’t what I was thinking about, but to the rest of the world it was a very big deal.”

Demi about her close relationship with her ex-husband Bruce:
“One of the most healing things for Bruce was seeing me meet someone who has brought me so much happiness. And I so much want the same for him. We get so much from being able to share holidays and spend time with all of us together. The kids don’t have to choose. They’re getting double the support, double the love, double the encouragement.”

Demi’s 14-year-old daughter Tallulah on her extended family:
“We are one big family. Late at night, after a long day, we can sit around and laugh with one another.”

On why women look up to her:
I have tried to approach my life with a desire to face my own fears and insecurities, you know, to blast through my limitations and then take what I have learned and find ways to share that with others. Sharing is the greatest gift we can give ourselves, and, believe me, whatever I may have done so far, I have barely scratched the surface of what I am capable of doing.

On Ashton and her girls:
He initiated the discussion. He jumped in and said, "I want you to know that I don't take coming into children's lives lightly." That was within the first couple of weeks of our relationship, before he had met the girls. They are my priority, and I've always been sensitive to their feelings, but as the parent you can't allow your children to dictate what's right for you.

On the dynamic with Bruce:
Look, I'm the product of divorced parents, and my brother and I were the pawns in my parents' game. I never wanted that for my kids. At that time, I could not have seen what a gift that situation was, but without that experience, I would not have known there was a different choice to make in my own divorce . . . You know, I didn't get married and have children so I could get a divorce, get remarried, and get along with my ex-husband. But since that is what happened, I am grateful it turned out this way.

Ashton on Bruce:
He's a great guy. Great guys make great friends. I just had to get over my ego, which was screaming, "This guy used to sleep with your woman," and I listened instead to the little voice inside that was whispering, "This guy loves and cares about your woman." Once I did that, it was a cakewalk.

I believe it. My parents are this way, and I am so grateful. If you can't be friends with your ex for the sake of your kids, it means that you have unresolved feelings. If you're really over it, you will have no problem.

Hey, Sexy...how sexy are you, really? Because you're calling bull on something that I know to be the truth in my own life. I'm dear friends with my ex-husband, who is now having a child with his new girlfriend. I'm in a relationship as well, but we still communicate on the regular and are genuine friends. We just didn't work together as a team in terms of our relationship, so our marriage suffered. But boy, the sex was great...each and every single time! Hmm, maybe that's why we're still chummy? No, but seriously, Ms. Sexy, be open to other interpretations. You CAN most certainly be friends with your ex.
