So this whole rehab thing is really happening. Demi Moore has been receiving treatment for her substance abuse and anorexia in rehab, and now more details are beginning to emerge regarding her stay.
Moore is reportedly receiving treatment at the Cirque Lodge in Utah. It's the same place that treated Lindsay Lohan, Eva Mendes and Mary Kate Olsen. And namely, the actress is prohibited from weighing herself. A source told RadarOnline:
"It's common treatment practice at Cirque to not allow patients that are being treated for an eating disorder to see how much they weigh when they step on the scale." The source continues:
"Their weights are taken everyday, sometimes several times a day to make sure that they aren't losing weight while in treatment. Doctors at Cirque don't want patients to fixate on their weight."
So what else is in their brochure?
"Demi isn't being forced fed or chastised for not wanting to eat. The counselors at Cirque are working on giving Demi a safe and controlled environment, she is getting the best care possible," the source said.
The source reveals that Moore is "dealing with an addition to prescription medication." So, not "exhaustion," as her rep originally said. Moore is expected to spend 60 days in rehab, where she's prevented from contacting the outside word, including her daughters.
"Demi won't be allowed to call anyone during the first week, nor can she receive any phone calls. As time goes by, and if Demi is doing well, her doctors will allow her to have limited access to her cell phone for a small amount of time."
