Brace yourself, Lovatics. Get out your inhalers if you have asthma. Get out your inhalers even if you don’t have asthma. Because Demi Lovato made a surprising admission about where she foresees her career going in the near future.
“I hope I’m a mom in five years,” Demi told “Live From MTV.”
That may sound young to you, fair, wide-eyed reader; by the time Demi’s 25, she wants to be raising kids, but her reasoning is she’s lived a full life up until this point.
“I’ve been working since I was eight years old, and my first audition was when I was five, and I started modeling when I was five, so I’ve been working so hard my whole life,” the singer explained.
“At the end of the day, yes, I want to be a musician and I have a lot of goals, but my biggest goal in life is having a family.”
In the past six years, Demi’s released four albums, headlined five tours and judged an entire season of the “X Factor.” For someone who isn’t even of legal drinking age yet, she’s already accomplished more than most.
She’ll focus on her music for the next couple of years, but after that she wants to slow it down, put the “singer-actress-reality-singing-competition-mentor” to the side, and replace it with “mommy.”
“I just want to be a wifey with babies,” she concluded.
