In a stunningly, like, valley girl sounding interview with TeenDaily.net, Demi Lovato has laid the groundwork for her teenaged fans to work themselves in to a tizzy. The former girlfriend of Joe Jonas discussed her totally awesome friendship with his brother and bandmate Nick Jonas, while making sure to use the word ‘friend’ seventeen times.
The two met when they starred in Disney’s Camp Rock series in 2008, but recently appeared together for a performance—Nick joined Demi on stage at her concert at The Greek.
“There’s nobody like him in my life that I felt connected to through music. We work really great together. Sometimes I feel like he’s the male version of me, which is pretty funny, but, like, not crazy. Yeah, we just have a really great friendship, so when he came to my concert we hadn’t seen each other in a really long time and I was like, “Hey I know we haven’t seen each other in a while, but if you want I think it would be really fun for us to go out on stage together just like old times.” And he was like, “For sure!” It was really cool.”
Like old times, in Disney years, refers to anything that happened more than two years ago, just in case you were wondering.
Hollyscoop broke the news of Lovato's surprise performance with Nick back in July.
Demi’s ex-boyfriend, Joe Jonas (you following this? I’m having trouble), has also had extremely amicable words about his and Demi’s competing reality music competitions this season (Demi will be judging the "X Factor," and Jonas will be on the new CW series, "The Next").
“I'm happy for Demi. I think it's good for her. She can bring something to the show that's really important—it's the fact that she's gone through a lot in her life and dealt with a lot and the fact that she can talk about that on the show and help young artists."
Seems like all of that Disney training has made them all in to a very polite bunch of young adults.
