Demi Lovato might be able to go toe-to-toe with Simon Cowell, but when it comes to a long-fought battle with personal issues, sometimes she needs a little help.
Moments after an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “The X Factor” judge, made her way to a treatment center in Studio City.
According to X17, Demi went directly from the Kimmel studio to an outpatient facility that she is currently working with on her eating disorder and issues with self mutilation.
She has been seeking treatment since early this year.
The 20-year-old songstress has recently come out and addressed the dark topics in her life in an effort to reach out to fans facing similar problems.
During the “Kimmel” interview, as the duo tackled comical topics like Simon’s cleavage and Britney’s diva tendencies, Demi seemed more reserved and distant than what we have come to expect from her bubblegum personality.
One thing that surely wasn’t bringing her down is a rumored relationship with One Direction’s Niall Horan.
The “Skyscrapers” singer shot down whispers that the pop duo was, in fact, a couple in a new issue of Teen Vogue.
"He's a really awesome, sweet guy," she said. "But he's not my boyfriend...I'm in a place right now where I really need to focus on myself."
Demi was featured on the cover photo and feature spread of the magazine. And, while she has promised herself to stay career-focused, she admits that no one is immune to love’s drawing force.
"Obviously, I'm still going to like people—or love them—but I need to not be in a relationship for a while because I need to be OK with being alone, first," she added.
