Luciano Pavarotti Dies At Age 71

Opera legend Luciano Pavarotti who has died at age 71 after his year long battle with cancer. Pavarotti was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year.

The theatre in his Italian hometown will be renamed in his honour, following his death. Just hours after he passed, Modena mayor Giorgio Pighi announced the tribute.

He said, "A great artist and a good man has left us. Luciano Pavarotti has made Modena shine in the world."
