Sadly, actor Gerard Depardieu's oldest son, from his marriage to Elisabeth Guignot, has passed away following a severe bout of pneumonia.
Guillaume Depardieu, 37, was best known for his starring role in the movie adaptation of Les Miserables in 2001. The actor was in Romania working on a new movie when he suddenly became very sick and was immediately taken to the hospital.
Gerard's publicist said, "He caught a virus which gave him a very severe pneumonia. Gerard is devastated."
After serving time in prison for drug related charges, Guillaume and his father had a major falling out back in 2003. Our thoughts go out to the entire family.
