New details have surfaced in the extortion plot against
David Letterman.
TMZ reports that Robert Halderman was actually living with the woman that Dave was having a sexual relationship with. Her name is Stephanie Birkitt, and she is Dave’s former assistant!
And according to a search warrant obtained by
Fox New York, Birkitt was Halderman’s girlfriend, up until just recently, and they were living together in Connecticut. Birkitt was regularly featured on The Late Show in taped segments.
Additionally, sources tell
RadarOnline that Birkitt and Letterman slept together for a period of time before he married his girlfriend Regina had their son Harry.
Sources say Birkitt is mortified Halderman is using her fling with Letterman to blackmail her boss. We would be too! We can’t imagine how embarrassed she must be right now!
