David Hasselhoff Claims He Had an Ear Infection

David Hasselhoff wants people to know that he was not admitted to the hospital last night for being a booze bag! Rather, the America’s Got Talent judge claims his trip to the ER was for an ear infection.

Earlier this morning, Hollyscoop reported that the Hoff’s daughter had called her mother to inform her that he was three sheets to the wind, and 911 was shortly dialed thereafter.

But Hasselhoff’s rep tells TMZ it’s all just a big misunderstanding and that he was being treated by his family doctor for an ear infection and was taking Antivert.

Hasselhoff was also taking Antabuse, which prevents alcoholics from drinking. The His rep says the combination of drugs messed up his equilibrium, and he wasn't able to reach his family doctor.

When the paramedics came to the scene, David volunteered himself to go to the hospital so he could have his ear looked at. He was reportedly released an hour after being treated at the hospital.

Do you buy the Hoff’s story, or do you smell bullsh*t on this one?

Leave Hoff alone...alcoholism is a horrible thing and if he is taking Antibuse he is at least trying to quit.

you would think that with all the booze this man drinks the alcohol would kill any infection going on. Maybe he has michaels doctor and he told him drink 3 bottles of whiskey and call me in a week

One of the major problems we have today is the lack of privacy, specially for our celebrities. the real news papers and their reporters gave celebrities alittle bit of respect and privacy to their lives, but the new age paparatizes are taking fotos of anything and everything just for a buck and usually under the pretense of peoples rights to know, but what about peoples rights to privacy!! yes if a celebrity does something totally foolish or stupid like being falling down drunk in public or flashing body parts getting out of a car (but not show the actual body part being exsposed) or on twitter(something they choose to do) but most of their lives should be left alone. i believe that part of their celebrity statis is due to the mystery of their lives, that something that all would like to have, but who wants to be a celebrity when you have to deal with idiots trying to be in your life all the time 24/7. i had a problem with my inner ear a couple of months age, i thought i had experiamced a stroke, slurried speech, so dizzy i thouhgt i was walking in a tilt-a-room like at the fair, nausea, confusion. i was given antivert and told that it could take 2 - 3 months to clear up, now maybe mr. hasselhoff has had problems before but should be given the benefit-of-doubt because anyone not medically trained could miss interprate the symtoms of an ear infection with being drunk. i build waterfalls for a living and have for over 30 years and the few celebrities i've met were like everyone else, good-bad, nice-naughty, friendly and just leave-me-alone. just like you and me, lets give our celebrities a break and let them have a little more privacy. if we as a public refuse to support the invaders of privacy then mavbe they will get the hint and leave our dream makers alone so we might start dreaming about them and wanting to be them again.
