Tom Cruise Gets Closer To Beckham

Let's begin by saying that Tom Cruise is ballinnnn! He is reportedly interested in investing $80 million smackeroos to takeover David Beckham's new soccer team. Becks will begin playing for LA Galaxy beginning next month.

Cruise is a huge soccer fan and wants to give his financial backing to the Los Angeles Galaxy.

A source said: "To have Tom's backing would be amazing - there's no way Galaxy bosses would turn down that opportunity."

This sounds nice and dandy but doesn't it seem like Tom Cruise is really obsessing over David Beckham? Could all those rumors that we won't talk about actually be true? Let's hope not!

While I doubt there any Soccer (It's called Football in 99% of the world, get with the program) fans here,i'd like to apologize in advance: The MSL is shit. The MSL is probably on the same level as the highest amateur leagues in Europe (And no, im not exagerating). Players like Landon Donovan are still playing in the US for a reason; they're still nowehere near the levle of european, south-american or even asian players. Investing in LA Galaxy is useless since no good player will sing on (unless he's already 32+ and wants to grab some easy cash) because the competition will still be shit. What's the point of having a good team when the rest are still all amateurs? If Cruise wants to do some good for the soccer in the US he'll invest in the sport in general (better educational facilities for young players, better tournaments, better programs for the technical staff etc.)

Not that I don't enjoy the rumors (even the possible spaceship kidnapping plot one), but I wanted to mention that the picture was taken in Beckham's box at Real Madrid a few years ago and that his pregnant wife was standing on the other side of Tom Cruise, and that his mom and two older kids were in the seats in front.
