It’s been a tough season for soccer ace David Beckham. After being loaned to AC Milan to play soccer, he didn’t get a royal welcome back in Carson, California when he returned to play for his team, LA Galaxy back in July. That, and there were those reports of him allegedly “choking” Dallas’s Daniel Hernandez.
He may have gotten heat for his actions, but Beckham is without a doubt one of the best soccer players in the world, and we should be thankful that he’s here in the states playing for an American team. When was the last time soccer made headlines in the US before Beckham brought sexy back to this states?
With one month left until the season ends, Beckham's fans are left wondering, what is David's future with LA Galaxy? Hollyscoop talked to David at the CHOC Hospital in Orange, where KISS FM had an on-air fundraiser for children with cancer, to find out David's future is with the LA Galaxy.
"I'm a Galaxy player now,” David told Hollyscoop. Phew, that was a close call, as he is committed to play here in the United States for three more years.
In regards to taking off during his break and playing for another European teams, Beckham said, “On my break I'll be playing for a team.” When Hollyscoop pressed on to find out what team it would be, he said, “No, not yet….we're still working on it.”
Beckham is most likely taking off to play for another team because he wants to take part in the World Cup in South Africa in 2010. Beckham has to prove to England’s coach Fabio Capello that he is worthy of a place in England’s world cup squad.
When we asked Beckham if he was going to play for England’s national team he said, “fingers crossed I will be, but who knows long time to go yet.”
We’re pretty sure David Beckham will make it to the national team. He's an amazing player, and most importantly, for the ladies at least, he's great eye candy on the field!
