Photographed shirtless with just a phone hanging around his neck, David Beckham strikes a pose in a new Motorola RAZR2 ad campaign. I could care less what David is promoting as long as he's shirtless--I'm buying.
In actual Beckham news, all you lucky USC students will soon get a chance to hear Beckham lecture at the USC Center on Public Diplomacy, which is jointly run by USC Annenberg and the USC College of Letters, Arts and Sciences.
Beckham will argue that soccer is much more than a sport: “It brings people together in hope, which is what I want to do with the academy,” he said. “It’s about physical excellence but it’s also about teamwork, working together to solve problems and celebrating together.”
Nicholas Cull, who is organizing a global seminar on the role of sport in diplomacy next year said: “People who don’t follow football don’t appreciate what a globally significant figure Beckham is even now with his career in transition."
Have you guys heard Beckham talk? He talks like a little girl. I'd rather have him just stand there shirtless--that'll have more of an impact on me than a lecture.
