Everyone Wants To Be a Beckham

They have surveys for the most random things! A new survey conducted by the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL) found that 53% of students want to be just like David Beckham, with 30% wanting to be just like Victoria (pre-boob job we're assuming).

More than anything else, teachers were surprised to learn that their students wished to be 'famous for being famous' aka: Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. 32 % of secondary school teachers said students aspired to be like Paris Hilton.

"Celebrity culture can perpetuate the notion that celebrity status is the greatest achievement and reinforces the belief that other career options are not valuable."

"It reflects the current media obsession with celebrity and the effect of celebrity culture on society as a whole."

In a nutshell, teachers are pissed that their students don't want to pursue higher education because they can just get themselves a reality show and be a celebrity without having to have any real talent. That's Hollywood for you!
