David Beckham To Close Out Olympics

People has confirmed that David Beckham will be making a special appearance at the closing ceremonies for the Beijing Olympics.

It'll be the best transition, as it's tradition to incorporate a handover to the next city that will be hosting the Olympics. London has the honors of hosting the Summer Games next in 2012, so David will be on hand to mark the transition.

David didn't get this just handed to him either. He had to put in a bid, and is very proud to be representing London in this way.
