David Beckham Scores His First Goal

August 15, 2007

Breaking news, David Beckham just scored his first GOOOOOOLLLLLLLL!! Although the soccer ace is suffering from an ankle injury, he sucked in the pain and scored a free kick against D.C. United in the first half of the game. It was definitely victory for Beckham, especially since last week he couldn’t play much against the same team. This is "major" news for Beckham fans, now the game might be worth watching.

For your information it is by far harder to score from a free kick than a field goal. You might learn something of watch the game "FOOTBALL" as for Beckham his an honest person and when his actually playing football he puts in 100% effort. It's not his fault his getting ridiculous wages what do you want him to say? "no it's alright I'll take half" And if your reading Hollywood Drivel then you have to expect drivel no matter who it is they are focusing on

I'm not tired of them from purely a pa-pa perspective as Hollyscoop's covered them tirelessly for that for a long time. I just can't stand the min to min updates on his freakin' soccer career. You want that? Go to ESPN.com (who, by the way, despite their huge coverage of ESPN Deportes soccer info doesn't give him nearly this much press themselves).

So he gets a goal off a free kick...that's like kicking a field goal, it ain't that special. Write when he gets a goal running through a gauntlet of opponents. I agree with Clint, I too am officially tired of the Becks.

we all know LA Galaxy signed beckham not for his talents but for his looks. he is good for their business.

It's about time. Quite frankly I think he's well overpaid and he's been nothing but a let down since he's arrived in the US. Stop patting him on the back for getting one goal !! That's what he's getting paid for.

for 250 000 000 € it would be the first of thing

Okay, I'm officially tired of this. Nobody cared about soccer before on Hollyscoop and now because the evident hottie that is Beckham arrives here and we have to have articles about every FREAKIN' thing the dude does? Jeez, the Tom Brady/Gisele stories deserve more coverage than Beckham scoring one goal or being in a game for 72 min. and doing nothing.

It was a nice goal to off a free kick. About time people get what they paid for.
