David Beckham wants to assure his fans that he's not planning on leaving Los Angeles or quit the LA Galaxy anytime soon.
Beckham returned to the LA Galaxy for the first time on Sunday since being on loan to AC Milan, but he got anything but a warm welcome. Fans booed him every time he got the ball and he almost got into an altercation with a fan.
Becks is now speaking out about the incident and insists that his LA fans have nothing to worry about. When asked if he's putting their Beverly Hills home up for sale to move he said, “As far as I know, no. I hope not because I want somewhere to live for quite a few years, so no that’s not true, I’ve heard many rumors about buying and selling houses so it is just another rumor.”
When asked about being booed during Sunday's game, Beckham said,
“I don’t like my sons seeing that and hearing that, and my family, from an organized group of fans. I think it was disrespectful, some of the things that were being said and also some of the banners, but it is what it is."
He added, “It is not about whether I can move on, I wasn’t the one booing, at the end of the day I play my game, whether I get booed or not doesn’t matter to me.
“To be honest all I’m going to do is play my football, if it’s not good enough for some people, as long as it’s good enough for myself and the team nothing else matters.”
