Rumors that Victoria and David Beckham planned to have their baby on the Fourth of July turned out to be false, but it’s still a special day for the couple, as they celebrate their anniversary on July 4th.
David told Hollyscoop he spent “time at home and with the kids.”
“We’re married 12 years to that day,” Beckham told HS.
The Beckhams are used to raising boys, and David says planning for a girl is “a whole different thing”. But he tells us Victoria is fully prepared for the arrival.
“There’s pink, there’s lilac in the house. Her room is ready. The dresses are ready. Her outfits are ready.”
This baby is going to be the world’s youngest fashionista. As far as a baby fashion line, David told Hollyscoop: “It’s more Victoria’s area. Maybe in the future.”
While Victoria may or may not be preparing for infant couture, David is focusing on the 2012 Olympics, held in London.
“I'm just enjoying the season, concentrating on that, and then I want to be part of the Olympics,” David told Hollyscoop while unveiling Los Angeles Galaxy's new jersey at LA Live. “It's a special thing for our country, my home, where I grew up, so, you know, it's going to be great.”
Between a new baby and Olympic plans, if the couple doesn’t already have it going on, they’re also friends with royalty. David told us that while he’s excited for Prince William and Kate to visit Los Angeles, they probably won’t be spending much time with the royal couple.
“Obviously you know they’re only here for a couple of days," David told us. "Their schedule is so packed they've got dinners, polo, events…we've got a game when they're here. They're amazing people. For them to be coming out here and visiting is incredible. We're proud of that because were English, and it's our total family.”
