David Beckham is being sued by a photographer who claims the star and his bodyguard attacked him in December. Emicles Da Mata is suing Becks for assault and battery, as well as emotional distress.
He claims Beckham reached into his car, grabbed his camera, and attempt to wrestle it from him. The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ.com, also claims Beckham's bodyguard then beat him repeatedly before throwing the camera into a nearby trash bin.
An eyewitness told E! News at the time that Da Mata had been trailing Beckham and wife Victoria when David got out of his car and approached the paparazzo's vehicle, enticing him to come out. Da Mata refused to budge, so Becks went around to the passenger side and started throwing punches.
"They just can't do this," Da Mata said. "They put me on the floor, they got my camera, and they threw it in the trash can. They can't do this to us."
Did this guy ever think to roll up his window, or maybe lock his car doors?? And how bout stop following people you don’t know just to get a mundane picture of them? We agree the guy probably shouldn’t have gotten a beat-down, but the paps need to settle down on the following game!
