Slumdog Millionaire
Two months after his home was demolished and he was left homeless, Slumdog Millionaire child star Azharuddin Ismail finally got a new home.

Director Danny Boyle helped 10 year-old Ismail and his family by purchasing a brand new apartment in a Mumbai suburb for $42,000.

When asked about his new home, little Ismail said, "I like it here, it is really nice. But I will miss my old friends... Maybe I will go and visit them once in a while."

Boyle made a promise to the child stars months ago that he would help them move into a better home and set up funds for them through his Jai Ho Trust, and he's really gone above and beyond for these kids.

Yes, there are so many children like him...you see that in the film. However, I think we should all be thankful for each and every one who receives help and hope for a better life. Thanks to Danny Boyle. It would be great if, as tomtom09 says, if little Ismail would continue his career and become a big star. Let's pray for him!

Good for him, it's sad when people don't come through with their promises until too late.

He only followed through because of public pressure. But at least he finally came through.

Finally he and his family have a decent home to live in. Hope he gets back into films and becomes a big star

These children are so adorable....so sad we can't help all of them.
