Harry Potter Receives Death Threats

It's not easy being Daniel Radcliffe. The actor has been receiving some pretty serious death threats lately, and the British Military isn't taking it lightly. Daniel has been assigned former SAS bodyguards, who used to work in special forces for the military.

In addition, Daniel's poor driver of seven years is out of a job. A more experienced driver has stepped in, and he even has a chase car that will constantly be following the vehicle. Who would want to kill Harry Potter? Is it Voldemort?

I do not give a hoot what ever anyone says, this is a person who children adore, and it will gut millions if something happened to him. I love him, its great to see British actors. The person that should be criticized here is the one giving the threats not Daniel, hes an actor and a yound one at that give him a break, hes also a life. All life needs guarded from loonies. He has my full support. Innocent should not be slagged off just because hes famous. Hes someones son for christs sake. And funny enough HUMAN!!! He has every right to want to be safe. hes little more than a kid.

It is true that it is npot particularly nice for anyone to get death threats. But the answer to the question would a civilian get this treatment? Is no. In fact, the the idea from A, that they'd get watch by regular police for 3 weeks, is wishful thinking. Unfortunately, th maximum they could offer us was three days. It's blody disgusting. If we have to deal with it on our own. So should celebrities.

I agree with KillerShiznit on this one! Do you really think that he deserves death threats? Whatever you think of him as an actor the only thing he has been guilty of is being hired to entertain millions of people. Something that he appears to do very well judging by the Potter mania sweeping the globe! Lets face it these threats will probably ammount to nothing but he is in the public eye and there are some unhinged people out there so you never know do you? It wouldn't be the first time!

I see your points (last two comments) The truth being no they would now go to all that trouble for a civilian - that civilian would be watched be two regular policemen/women for a period of 3weeks after the mail unless they received anymore during that period. Then the police would try and identify the writer or source. End of. Yeah, it is a serious thing for a celebrity getting death threats but it's serious for us "average" people too!! rant over.

It wasn't about seeing Harry Potter naked, he isn't Harry Potter, he's Daniel Radcliffe, he just happened to play Harry Potter, and that theatre work he did just included a naked seen. Many other actors do them. And I don't think anyone was seriously suggesting it was Voldemort,as Voldemort is a character, not a person...
