Actor Daniel Day Lewis is currently in his homeland for the “Dublin International Film Festival”. The Oscar nominee held a screening for his highly acclaimed film “There Will Be Blood”.

The actor is six days away from what might be a victorious night. Many are hopeful that he will take home the golden statue for his performance as the ruthless Daniel Plainview. Daniel Michael Blake Day-Lewis was born 29 April 1957 in London, England.

Married to playwright Arthur Miller’s daughter Rebecca Miller.

This is the fourth Academy Award nomination for Daniel Day-Lewis. He was previously nominated for “Gangs of New York”, “In The name Of The Father” and “My Left Foot”.

On Sunday February 24, 2008 Daniel will go up against George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Viggo Mortensen and Tommy Lee Jones.
