The couple bought an $11.5 million dollar three-bedroom, three-bath home in New York’s SoHo district. Wait, $11.5 million and that can only afford three bedrooms?! They need at least 4 more bedroom?! Where do they guests stay? Where does the maid sleep? How will Weisz turn one of those rooms into a closet...for her shoes.
The 4,350 square foot property has an additional 2,000 square feet of outdoor “living space” including a roof garden with it’s own kitchen. If there’s anything I learned from watching the New York spin-off of “The Hills” aka “The City,” it’s that you can’t call yourself a New Yorker if you do not have a roof patio, which means you must live in the penthouse and also that you must have dinner parties. This is quintessential New York, I’m sure. Also, the Hamptons, everyone goes to the Hamptons, I think?
Since Weisz is splashing out on this expensive new place, she sold her old New York home that she shared with her former partner, “Black Swan” director, Darren Aronofsky. Her old place was a five-storey town home that she bought in 2005. She just sold it for a paltry $2.52 - making her former 11.5 room home quite the steal.
