Vera Wang Joins Dancing With the Stars

Let the dancing begin again! Just weeks after Shawn Johnson was crowned winner of Dancing with the Stars, the first contestant for next season has been announced!

According to E designer Vera Wang has reportedly signed on for the upcoming season of the ABC hit show.

She’s best known for her amazing wedding dress designs, but what you may not know is that Vera trained as a professional figure skater as a young girl. That may give her a leg up on the competition, even though she is turning 60 this year!

A rep for Wang did not immediately comment. And unsurprisingly, an ABC rep declined to comment on casting. But ABC did just announced today that season nine will premiere with a three-night, five-hour extravaganza on Sept. 21st. We can’t wait to hear who will be a part of the cast!
