This week we had to say goodbye to not one, but two different couples on Dancing with the Stars! As Hollyscoop reported yesterday, Tom Delay announced he’d be leaving the show last night. The 62-year old politician explained he was forced to leave because of double stress fractures in his feet.
Tom and his partner Cheryl Burke were actually safe from elimination last night, which made his departure that much harder. He said, "If you can't practice, you'll make a fool out of yourself out there, and I don't want to do that to Cheryl.”
He added, “It doesn't hurt when you're dancing... It's because of the adrenaline, you don't feel the pain, and that was the case. But I'm going to really feel it tomorrow, I bet you."
But Tom promised that he’d come back for the DWTS finale to perform the samba if he was feeling better by then.
As for the real elimination, this week it was Debi Mazar’s time to leave the dance floor. She and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy will have to watch the remainder of the season from the sidelines.
But Debi was just grateful for the opportunity, saying, "I definitely know a few more steps and I've had a great time, I've loved every moment of it. I have great, you know, new friends, and Maks, I’ve loved my time with Maks.”
Who do you think is next to go?? Tune in next week!
