DWTS: Who's Getting the Boot Tonight?

The stakes are getting higher and higher for the Dancing with the Stars contestants. It’s down to five couples, but one duo in particular is leading the pack with their near-perfect routines week after week.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know we’re talking about Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough. Their fox trot and paso doble performances earned them a total of 59 for the night last night, and that’s out of a possible 60.

Nicole Scherzinger Going to Win Dancing With the Stars

Hollyscoop caught up with some of the former contestants from this season and past ones, and they told us who they think is going home, and who is gonna end up winning the coveted DWTS trophy this year.

Buzz Aldrin, who left after just a couple of weeks in the competition, told us EXCLUSIVELY, “We were at the Vancouver Olympics when Evan won his gold medal, he certainly looked very good to watch there. Then I ran into the lady from the Pussycat Dolls, Nicole and I think she is going to do very well.”

Damien Whitewood, who got booted with Pamela Anderson just last week, agrees with Buzz. “The frontrunners are definitely Evan and Nicole,” he told Hollyscoop. They are the two leaders in the dancing world in Dancing With the Stars. I’m going to go with Evan. I think Evan has a pull behind maybe.”

Same for Aiden Turner, who left the competition early with partner Edyta Sliwinska. “I think Evan is going to win it,” Turner told us. “Maybe Nicole, but Evan over Nicole. I’m 65% and 45% Nicole.”

And Chelsie Hightower, who got kicked off with Bachelor Jake Pavelka. She said, “I think maybe Nicole has a good chance. I have a feeling Derek is going to pull out with an amazing freestyle and just kill the whole thing.”

But one former contestant is rooting for the underdogs. Gilles Marina told us, “I want Chad and Cheryl to go far. I want Niecy and Louis to go far too—she is so funny. I want the one that has had the hardest time to go all the way cause I can relate to that.”

Louis Van Amstel is surprised himself that he and Niecy Nash have gotten this far. He confessed to us, “Honestly I did not think Niecy was going to make it to the top 5, are you kidding me? She has never danced or seen the gym from the inside. I guess with her personality and improving each week nothing is going to stop her, we are on a roll. I would not be surprised if we are going to stay. At the same time we are up against dancers not celebrities anymore. Erin, Evan and Nicole have all had training but I keep my fingers crossed and we are going to work our asses off.”

Former contestant Melissa Rycroft reminded us that anything can happen with the competition because it’s based on viewers votes. “Predictions I think are impossible for DWTS. When you mix in audience vote then you have no idea who is going to win. I love Niecy, I love the excitement and energy she brings to the show. She does not take herself very seriously. Score wise Nicole and Evan have been on the top, and they are going to feel the pressure to stay up there. I would like to see Erin or Chad come through.”

That’s the scoop from former contestants! But it’s your vote that counts! Who do you want to see win the whole thing?!
