The dreaded **Double Elimination** round has come and went and two of our favorite all-stars have gone home on Dancing With the Stars.
Drew Lachey and Helio Castroneves BOTH packed up their dancing shoes and said good-bye to their pro-dance partners, Anna Trebunskaya and Chelsie Hightower, respectively.
After Monday night’s show, it was Bristol Palin, Kirstie Alley and Drew Lachey who got the lowest scores of the night. Lachey was likely dismissed for consistently doing below-average on the show and Castroneves was kicked off, probably because nobody really knows who he is.
Lachey told reporters after the show that it “sucks” that he was sent home, especially since he’s a “Broadway performer,” so he claims.
“I take pride in what I do, and to me, it’s kind of ironic that the two Broadway performers – me and Joey [Fatone] – are gone already. It’s a little odd to me. But that’s part of the unpredictability of the show. It sucks. It really sucks.”
That being said, is he ready to head home? Not exactly.
“I feel disappointed that it came to an end,” says Lachey, “Do I think we’re going home too early? Absolutely. I don’t think there’s anybody in this ballroom who would disagree with that.”
As for Castroneves last words, he just thanks America and his race-car driving team "for letting me do this."
