"Dancing With The Stars" crowned its season 14 winner last night, and it was wide receiver Donald Driver!
The finale endured for three hours on air on ABC Tuesday. Driver’s crowning came at the conclusion of the slot, which featured performances by the finalists, as well as appearances by former contestants who returned for the event.
Gavin DeGraw, Melissa Gilbert, Roshon Fegan, Jack Wagner, Jaleel White, Maria Menounos, Martina Navratilova, Sherri Shepherd, and Gladys Knight were all in attendance. Knight even sang her hit “The Way We Were.”
Kelly Clarkson also stopped by and share two of her songs. She performed her new single “Dark Side” and her hit “Stronger.”
The competition was neck-and-neck leading up to Tuesday’s extended show. Jenkins scored a 60/60 and both Levy and Driver were close behind with a 59/60. But viewers’ votes changed that.
In the end, Driver’s risky country two-step from Monday, which earned him 30 of those points, allowed the NFL star to pull ahead at the clutch moment.
As expected, Driver was enthused to when he heard the news. He shouted and held his trophy proud.
Levy took third place and Jenkins held the middle spot.
"Thank you to everybody for having me on the show,” Jenkins announced. “It's been an absolute dream."
Levy was also appreciative of the experience and sad to see it end. Then, just like that, it was over. Season 14 has its champion, and we can all have our Monday and Tuesday evenings back.
