It hasn’t even premiered, and Dancing With The Stars already has an injury, a controversy, and a Kardashian.
Hollyscoop asked DWTS diva Julianne Hough what she thinks of the new lineup, and she told us: “I think its great, you always see the cast list when it first comes out and you’re like, ‘interesting choices’. Once you start watching it, you’re like, ‘oh-my gosh’, and start rooting for the person you didn’t even know existed.”
And who’s Hough’s money on?
How’d we know she’d say that? Hope happens to be paired with Derek Hough.
“I think that anybody who is with my brother might do well, just cause he’s badass,” Julianne tells HS.
“I think it’s going to be exciting, he’s a fun personality on ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians.’ I think he’ll do really well, he seems like he can move.”
And Lacey Schwimmer told Hollyscoop that the next season is going to change some things up.
“There is a few new things happening this season. You’re going to see a lot of your favorite dances still but there’s some changes to a few different things, about this show. It’s going to be awesome everything about it looks really cool this season and I’m super excited.”
And just to recap, here’s who else you’ll be watching tonight:
Chaz Bono: Cher’s son caused a controversy when he was added to the lineup, because some of America still has a problem with a person’s sexual preference. Come on, people. Evolve and enjoy the show.
Nancy Grace: TV host Nancy Grace is pretty heavy-handed, so will she be light on her feet? I guess we’ll see.
Chynna Phillips: When I found out Chynna Phillips was going to be on DWTS, it made me want to do one thing: Google “Who is Chynna Phillips.” She’s the offspring of The Mamas and The Papas, and this season might have her dancing in the streets. Or at least the studio.
Ron Artest: Err--I mean Metta World Peace? Whatever his moniker, we’ll see if he’s got moves on the dance floor like he does on the basketball court.
Carson Kressley: The former Queer Eye for the Straight Guy star will be showing off his dancing skills with Anna Trebunskaya. While show producers were originally going to pair him with Maxim Chmerkovskiy, Kressley says, “I’m so glad in the end because Anna will be so much easier to lift over my head.”
Elisabetta Canalis: The actress/model has danced in some pretty racy numbers for Italian television, so we’ll see how well it translates in the U.S. Also, George Clooney. She dated George Clooney. You didn’t think I could make it through this without mentioning that, did you?
Kristin Cavallari: They say the best way to get over someone is to get on the dance floor. Okay, nobody says that. But Kristin’s coping with her recent broken engagement in her own way, and we can’t wait to see her moves.
Hope Solo: She’s known as the best goalkeeper in the world, and she’s got reflexes like a puma. Is that good for dancing? My dancing consists of holding a drink while I nod my head up and down, so I have no idea.
David Arquette: He hasn’t had the easiest year, but maybe he can dance his way back into Courtney Cox’s heart.
J.R. Martinez: He’s an actor, motivational speaker and an Iraq war veteran. We’re rooting for Martinez!
Ricki Lake: She had an “injury” during rehearsal, and an ambulance was called to the scene. She tweeted a photo of the “injury”, and it looked like she cut herself shaving. Come on, Ricki.
