I know exactly one thing about Dancing With The Stars, and it is that Derek Hough is adorable. That knowledge has nothing to do with the rest of this story.
Last night’s semifinals brought out the best performances from the remaining DWTS contestants: Donald Driver, Katherine Jenkins, William Levy and Maria Menounos.
However, it was Katherine Jenkins who stole the show. Not necessarily because she had the best performance, but because she provided last night’s injury quota.
At the end of her salsa routine, it appeared that she stumbled, perhaps twisting her ankle.
She then told her partner Mark Ballas, “I’m sorry if I’ve let you down, Mark” and started to break down in tears.
And here comes this weeks crying quota. Too bad Maria and Derek didn’t kiss each other.
Anyways, back to Katherine Jenkins.
After her performance, she was heard saying through tears, “I don’t know what happened.” She later tweeted, “I’m with the Doctor, he says it was a reflectorical spasm in my lower back.”
Anyways, tonight will decide if Katherine’s misstep is enough to get her kicked off the show.
By the end of the night, the leader board stacked up as follows:
Maria Menounos and Derek Hough got a perfect 30 points for their first dance and 29 for the second. William Levy and Cheryl Burke got 28 on the first dance and a perfect 30 for their second. Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd received 28 points and then 29. Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas received 29 points and then 27, putting them at the bottom of the leader board last night.
