The pairings for the upcoming all-star season of "Dancing with the Stars" have been released in anticipation of season 15 of the show.
The celebrity cast was announced two weeks ago, and includes Shawn Johnson, Bristol Palin, Pamela Anderson, Apolo Anton Ohno, Joey Fatone, Kelly Monaco, and Kirstie Alley.
The All-Star pairs are as follows:
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas
Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough
Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke
Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd
Drew Lachey and Anna Trebunskaya
Pamela Anderson and Tristan MacManus
Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff
Helio Castroneves and Chelsea Hightower
Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson
Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani
There’s going to be a wildcard contestant, too, so if you’re emotionally invested in DWTS, vote for who you want to bring back in season 15 before August 24: The candidates are Carson Kressley, Kyle Massey or Sabrina Bryan.
Out of these All-Stars, only six were winners of their seasons: Kelly Monaco, Drew Lachey, Apolo Anton Ohno, Helio Castroneves, Emmitt Smith, and Shawn Johnson. As for their professional partners, Derek Hough has the best track record, with three season wins under his sparkly, sparkly belt. So if we were to make a betting pool, our money would be on Shawn and Derek.
But as anachronistic as it may be, I kind of really want to see Pamela Anderson win, mostly because she admitted that as she finished sixth in her season, she “might just be here for comic relief.”
Check out the premiere of the new season on September 24 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC!
